Information you choose to provide
The contact form collects name, email address, reason, message, and affirmative consent to receive a reply. Do not include credit, banking, FAFSA, identity-document, or loan-account information. Contact submissions are used to respond, investigate corrections, or evaluate partnership requests.
Calculator and school-search inputs
Calculator values and selected colleges are processed in the browser and are not submitted to College Loan Finder. Up to three selected lender-profile identifiers may be stored in local browser storage to support side-by-side comparison.
First-party attribution
An outbound provider visit may record random click and session identifiers, provider, placement, product, source/campaign fields, same-site referring path, timestamp, release version, and a keyed client hash. First-party attribution cookies expire after 30 days. We do not collect application or credit outcomes unless an approved partner later sends a non-sensitive event tied to the random click ID.
Choices and Global Privacy Control
You can disable optional attribution on the privacy choices page or block/clear cookies in the browser. When a Global Privacy Control signal is present, outbound attribution is limited: attribution cookies and the client hash are not created. College Loan Finder does not currently sell personal information or use cross-context behavioral advertising on this site.
Sharing and provider sites
We use service providers needed to host and secure the site. An outbound click sends the browser to the selected provider; the destination will receive normal web-request information under its own policy. We do not transmit calculator inputs to that provider.
Retention and security
Contact records are retained as needed to respond and maintain business records. Attribution records are retained for reporting, reconciliation, fraud prevention, and contract requirements, then deleted or aggregated according to operational policy. No internet system is perfectly secure, but the service minimizes collection and restricts private storage.
Children and rights requests
The service is intended for college-bound students, families, and adult borrowers and is not directed to children under 13. Privacy, access, deletion, or correction requests may be submitted through the contact page. We will verify and respond as required by applicable law.
